There is an innocence and playfulness that animals and children share in common. When watching how children interact with their world, it’s easy to see that they live in the moment, they usually trust first and ask questions later and they accept friendship readily.
As a kid, I related more to animals than I did to people…..their way of looking at things was uncomplicated and truthful. Now as an adult, I still find animals refreshing, easy to be with and tremendously enlightening.
I think one way we can keep that child-like joy alive is to surround ourselves with beings who bring out in us the spontaneity, lightness and acceptance that is our truest self.
