“Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same.” Francesca Reigler
I love this quote because it is so simple, yet so profound. Is it really possible that achieving happiness comes down to something so simple as just having a happy attitude?
Animals don’t really ponder happiness like we do. They just simply live moment to moment, expressing their ideas about life as it occurs. Within that ability to stay in the moment, they achieve happiness. That doesn’t mean that everything makes them happy. But it does mean that by throwing themselves into each life experience, they are never left wondering about whether or not it was a good one.
They are too busy just experiencing life to ponder it’s meaning.
