My home overlooks a beautiful nature preserve where nature abounds…Birds of prey, deer, coyotes, skunks, bob cats and even a mountain lion as well as thick groves of trees that follow a stream which swells to a true river during the rains. I am blessed to be able to sit on our deck accompanied by our orange boys and Bella, where I can spend time in quiet reprieve, just being with nature,
Taking time to be with nature can be as simple as taking your dog for a walk, being with your horse, having a picnic in a park or going to the beach. When we tune into nature it triggers within us a deep knowing of who we truly are.
When people ask me how they can enhance their ability to communicate with their animal companions, I always tell them: Spend time in nature. Learn how to listen to your inner spirit; spending time with nature will teach you how to do that.
