The Attitude of Gratitude

On this eve of Thanksgiving, I am reflecting on how gratitude plays such an important part in the lives of animals.  Animals live in a constant state of gratitude.  Think of the joyful dog who is filled with gratitude every time you come home and is so glad to see you.  Or the horse who is so happy to have a fresh, chilled morning in which to run and buck.  Or the cat who loves that slice of sunlight on the floor where she can roll and nap.

Looking for those things which bring joy, happiness, fulfillment and wonder…..and completely immersing ourselves in the exuberance of being thankful….these are the things we can learn from our beloved animal friends.

I hope your Thanksgiving is filled with all those things which make your heart sing.  Thank you for being a part of my life and for listening to the teachings of the animals who I love so much.
